SnapStance ("the app") is built around a simple rule: your camera feed and your photos are yours, and they stay on your device. This page explains exactly what that means in practice.
Summary
- SnapStance does not have user accounts, sign-in, or registration.
- All pose detection, scoring, and coaching runs on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Nothing about your camera feed is ever uploaded anywhere.
- SnapStance does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any third-party tracking of any kind.
- SnapStance makes no network requests at all during normal use of the camera, coaching, and capture features.
Camera
SnapStance requests camera access to show a live preview and to run real-time pose and framing analysis, entirely on your device. Camera frames are processed in memory to compute a pose match score and coaching hints, and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere — including to SnapStance's developer. Camera access can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
Photos You Capture
When you take a photo in SnapStance, it is saved directly to your device's own Photo Library using Apple's standard photo-saving APIs. SnapStance does not keep a separate copy, does not upload captured photos anywhere, and cannot access your existing Photo Library beyond adding the new capture.
Subscriptions and Payments
SnapStance offers an optional auto-renewable subscription for unlimited use, handled entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. SnapStance never receives or stores your payment details — purchases, billing, and renewals are processed and managed by Apple under Apple's own Privacy Policy. You can view or cancel your subscription any time in your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
Data Stored on Your Device
SnapStance stores a small amount of data locally on your device only, using standard iOS app storage — for example, your selected app language, whether auto-capture is enabled, and your remaining free-trial/daily-usage time. None of this leaves your device, and it is removed automatically if you delete the app.
Third Parties
SnapStance does not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties, because it does not collect or transmit any data in the first place. The only third party involved in using SnapStance at all is Apple, through the standard iOS Camera, Photos, and StoreKit frameworks described above.
Children's Privacy
SnapStance does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children, since it does not collect personal data from any user.
